Crafting Smiles

If you are somebody that follows Meadowbrooke you may have noticed that there have been a lot of changes over the last few years. Through our efforts to constantly improve we have pretty much reinvented almost every part of the company from the products we offer to how we make them. About two years ago we adopted a new logo and it contains a very important phrase that has helped shape and directs all of the changes we have gone through. That phrase is “Crafting Smiles”, and this really encompasses the feeling we want every one of our customers to have when they see our products and understand the creativity, craftsmanship, and charm we work hard to put into each gourd we craft.

This year we have decided to take our goal of crafting smiles to another level. We realize that it’s not enough to just have our products leave you with a smile, but every interaction you have with us should leave you smiling. One important area where we realized we were lacking with our goal of crafting smiles was with our advertising. We realized that Meadowbrooke doesn’t want to be the kind of company that runs advertising like a traditional company. We don’t want to be that advertisement that is interrupting the thing you really want to be watching or doing.

What we have decided to do instead is take the effort we once put into advertising and instead use it to tell our story. Instead of advertisements, we have opened ourselves and our company up so everyone can see who we are, what we do, and why we love to do it. Along with that we have also committed to doing a better job of listening to you and finding out what about us makes you smile.

We now have an email newsletter that provides you with a very quick look at everything happening at Meadowbrooke. If you want to stay up to date on everything we are offering including sales, new products, classes, latest stories and stories from us this is what you want to be signed up for. We consolidated and organized all this information into about a page so you can quickly find what is important to you. If you are signed up but haven’t read it in a while, you should take a look because almost everything has been completely redone. This is going to be the best place to find info on sales and new products so if you are interested in those things you can sign up on our website.

Our blog is posted every Monday and it contains stories from us or answers questions that we think you will be interested in. Our blog posts are all written by people in the Meadowbrooke family, which means every writer is either currently working with us or is somebody who helped make Meadowbrooke the company it is today. If there is anything you ever wanted to know about any of us or about gourds, just let us know. We are always looking for new ideas and trying to improve everything we are creating.

On Facebook, you are going to see fun or interesting things about us. We do very simple online events that sometimes have prizes. We post about events like the summer celebration and our classes. The newest blog posts are also posted on Facebook to let everyone know when they come out. Facebook is also one of the best ways for you to let us know what you think and what makes you smile. If you have liked us in the past but haven’t seen what I’m talking about with what we are doing on Facebook make sure you go to the “Liked” button on our page and select “Get Notifications.” After the changes, Facebook made it to how they show you posts last year this is really the only way to make sure you are getting all the posts.

If you like Instagram we are posting pictures every week now to show you what is happening on a daily basis. Some of the pictures show you how we crafting the gourds you love and some are just the crafters being goofy. If you want to see what happens here at Meadowbrooke on a daily basis this is the place to do it.

This is just the start and as we go forward you are going to get the chance to see a lot more about us and our story. We are looking for new ways to tell our story through video and new avenues to become more interactive. With everything we are trying to do, I can promise you that it will be handcrafted by us, and designed to leave you with a smile.
