Summer Celebration 2023
Well, our spring events are over and now we are heading into getting ready for the Summer Celebration and there are a lot of things to see and do this year!
Our Summer Celebration will be held this year on July 15, 2023, from 8:00am-2:00pm. We have changed a few things up this year to make your shopping experience a bit more comfortable. As most of you know, July in Pennsylvania can be very hot and humid, especially from midafternoon into the evening. This year, we are holding the event in the morning to hopefully make shopping a bit cooler and bypass the storms that seem to come through later in the day. So, make sure to set your alarms early this year so you don’t miss out on the deals.
Our Oops Sale will be returning to one large tent located in the grassy area across the street from the gift shop. The tent will be separated into the different seasons (All Season, Fall and Winter) with a centralized checkout beside the Oops tent. This will allow for more space to put Oops out and will allow you to pay for all your purchases at one time. Some ask, “what are oops”? Oops (some call them seconds) are finished gourds that have minor flaws such as, a run in the paint, dyed the wrong color, sit a little crooked or we simply ran too many. They are put out at discounted prices for you to stock up on your favorite pieces. Make sure to go to the Oops tent first because we will be offering a discount in our gift shop depending on how much you spend in our oops tent. If you spend over:
- $50.00 – receive 5% off in our gift shop,
- $100.00 – receive 10% off in our gift shop,
- $200.00 – receive 20% off in our gift shop.
- (These discounts are only good to be used the same day as the Summer Celebration 7/15/23)
Our Artisan Craft vendors will be back this year with lots of handcrafted items for you to shop for and enjoy. We will also have plenty of food trucks here to take care of every hunger craving you may have. Come early and visit The Sweet Patch for breakfast sandwiches and Dad’s Famous Cold Brew will have your early morning cold brewed coffees. Music will be provided from 11:00am-1:00pm by local acoustic artist Tony Fitting while you enjoy lunch. Also, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company and Castlerigg Wine Shop will be serving delicious ice-cold beer and wine. We will also be offering Trolley rides around our beautiful farm. The ride takes about 45 minutes and costs $5.00 per person, handheld infants are free. There are a few steps that need to be used to access the trolley, so it is not handicapped accessible. We highly recommend reserving your seats ahead of time. Need a break from shopping and want to be creative, we have that covered too. Stop in the building to Paint Your Own Birdhouse, Butterfly House or Bird Feeder. We will have our helpful crafters on hand to get you started and answer any questions you may have. The cost for these kits range from $7.50-$15.00. Make one for yourself and all the loved ones in your life. Lastly, don’t forget to stop in our Gift Shop where we have gourds for all seasons along with other USA products, local artist gourds, food items and so much more. You will also be able to use the discount you receive from the Oops Sale on the entire store (up to 20% off).(The discounts you receive from the Oops Sale must be used the same day 7/15/23.)
